Triad Blackhawks Lacrosse

So many of our former Blackhawks players and coaches participate in the adult summer leagues with the Greensboro Hurricanes Lacrosse Club that we feel like they are worthy of a page on our website. You can find the Hurricanes Lacrosse Club on Facebook.

July 24-25, 2010. The Hurricanes entered two teams in this weekend's Blue Ridge Classic in Asheville, playing with great effort, passion, good humor, and true enjoyment of the great game. Among our former players and coaches who participated this weekend are: Hugh Fiery (founder of the Hurricanes); Hayden Wilson, Mike "Money" LeCompte, Dale Wray, Skip Jakupi, Lee Williamson, Mark "All Bark" Guillen, Jake "JJ" Johnson, Don "DC" Croom, Sam Jones, Kevin Palscsak, Martin "Marine" Burke, Brandon "Uno Ocho" Fields, Tim "Tebow" Wallis, Brad Carter, and Andrew Walker. In a move that set lacrosse back perhaps thirty years, Blackhawks Director and Coach Tom Brawner actually played four minutes for the Hurricanes' Orange team in the waning minutes of their game against Raleigh Lacrosse Club.
